Dave’s Picks

Miami Dolphins 2010

We finally have a legitimate quarterback and a star receiver.  But so do most other teams.  I think we’re going to be good, and I hope we win every game.  But taking a realistic look at the schedule here’s what I think will happen.

September 12 @ Buffalo - Win

Buffalo was terrible last year and I don’t expect them to be much better.  A great team to play first and a good time to go before winter sets in and it’s unbearably cold.

September 19 @ Minnesota - Loss

Even if Favre doesn’t play this year the Viking’s still dominate on both sides of the football.  It will be a test to see how we match up with the elite teams physically.

September 26 vs. New York – Win

The Jets are not as good as they’re being portrayed.  Although I’m sure they won’t admit it this is the date the Dolphins have penciled in as their game of the year.

October 4 vs.  New England – Loss

I hate to predict a home loss but the emotion and intensity of back to back division rivals is really going to be tough.

October 17 @ Green Bay – Win

The Packers are good and won’t be an easy victory, but we match up well and I believe we’ll escape with a slight advantage.

October 24 vs. Pittsburgh – Loss

In all probability this will “Big Ben’s” second game back after his suspension and they’ll be just starting to hit their stride.  Also, it’s hard to have a home field advantage when they’ll have thirty thousand fans in the stadium.

October 31 @ Cincinnati – Win

I don’t care who they sighed, until they prove otherwise they’re still the lowly Bengals.

November 7 @ Baltimore – Loss

This is a well balanced team that we’ll have a real problem with.  I’m sure offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has this game penciled in on his priority list.

November 14 vs. Tennessee - Win

An okay team that we should be able to handle at home.

November 18 vs. Chicago – Win

This is a team still trying to find its way.  We should be much better.

November 28 @ Oakland – Win

The worse team in the league.

December 5 @ Cleveland – Win

The Browns still have a ways to go and aren’t very good.

Too bad this isn’t a home game and we could all wear our HEAT jerseys.

December 12 @ New York – Loss

This will be payback time for losing to us earlier in the season.

December 19 vs. Buffalo - Win

They’ll eventually improve, but not this season.

December 26 vs. Detroit – Win

Not a very good team should be an easy win, especially at home.

January 2 @ New England – Loss

It’ll be cold, snowing, and miserable.  Hopefully this won’t be a make or break game to get in the playoffs.

9-7 could get us in the playoffs.  I still think we're a defensive star away from making a serious run.  Let's hope he emerges this season!
