London sensation comes to Miami
Zan
Dewayne Williams, better known as "Zan"
is a musical sensation from a small town called Luton, just outside of London, England. From an early age, music has
held a strong position is his life. His grandfather is the legendary "Honeyboy" who had a long running career in
popular reggae & the mellow tones of lovers rock. His mother - a trained singer/ Actor- was a former student of the prestigious
Sylvia Young school of arts in London. Zan was raised in a generation of great diversity in pop music, including 90's R&B
and swing, with undertones of 80's influence.... Also came new musical trends such as jungle and later on, UK Garage. All
of these can be found as influences in Zan's genre, "Melodonic".
Things took a turn in Zan's life when his mother became
involved in heavy drug abuse and diagnosed with schizophrenia he found comfort in music & performance. During his school
years, Zan could be found MC'ing and dancing his way through talent contests. The atmosphere at home drove him to make a change
and it slowly crafted him into the talent force he is today.
Zan moved to Miami, Florida to stay with relatives
in his mid- teens, which meant a lot of changes were to come. The one thing that didn't was his passion for music. The move
opened up new doors... The music scene in Florida was on fire and gave Zan new styles and influences to consider. Amongst
the new things in his life came new friends, contacts and associates... people who believed in Zan's talent and ability. This
included Se7en, D knight who provided Zan with the support and motivation he needed to push himself to the limits. Together
they recorded the hit track "Roll Wit' Me", which can be found on Zan's Myspace page. Another artist who Zan works
with closely is Tizzle. A number of their tracks are also available on Zan's Myspace and Youtube channels.
Zan is one to watch, with his good looks along with his diverse range
in music. Melodonic - a genre which is a blend of ambient, mellow tones with a hard hitting baseline - is his trademark sound. Never short of hits for the ladies, he already has fans from all over the world waiting to hear his next big track! The song entitled "Melodonic" for the ladies"Da Streets" for the guys club bangahs like "Her Body's Like"..-there's always something to appeal to everyone! He's set to rock the world and become a superstar!!
