Established in the summer of 2006, City of Sirens was a project that began when Alex Canales, the former front
man and co-founder for the band Wasted Circle and engineer Eli Bello worked together to write music that was on a different
realm of sound which neither had previously done. Putting together a series of demos together they approached a long time
friend and creative collaborator Manny Paulino. Manny previously worked with Alex as the lead guitarist for Wasted Circle
and is a seasoned artists who is skilled and has studied a variety of stringed and wind instruments as well as the piano.
The project was offered Manny Paulino, who would shortly join to helm the guitar and bring his sing writing talents to the
table and expand the sound that was being developed by Alex and Eli. Bryan Canales, who is brothers with Alex, would join
the group as the bassist, bringing in his own style and innovative flare. Bryan is also involved in a group called Buena Gente,
which is a multi cultural mix of rap, reggeaton, and hip hop. With Bryan’s expanded taste and influences the music has
been able to grow further and more broad. Recently the band had reunited with longtime friend a original ex-drummer from Wasted
Circle, Robert Rios. Robert has completed the sound of the band and with him, has brought new life and ideas to the
project that have help expand the band’s image through various media and communication outlets.
From its formative stages back in 2006-2007; City of Sirens has been writing, recording and playing shows
throughout south Florida while concentrating on perfecting it's sound and creative expression. Now in 2010, signs of a new
emerging band in the Miami rock local scene will be witnessed and experienced. City of Sirens is busy working on the their
first EP which is scheduled for release in the 3rd quarter of 2010. Join the growing population of the City of Sirens. www.cityofsirens.com
