The Amazing Marc Gagnon

Marc Gagnon is a local resident of Coral Springs. Mr. Gagnon, originally from New Hampshire has been creating photographic images with the camera since 1982. He was fortunate to have been introduced to and mentored with Fashion Photography greats Richard Avedon, Francesco Scavullo, Steven Meisel, Jack Reznicki and Jay Maesel in the mid 80s. Gagnon developed his craft from portraiture to fashion photography, and now Photographic Artwork. Gagnon has become a local celebrity through his photographic art collages and his causes related to his artwork. He has appeared on NBC News with Trina Robinson, has appeared on local magazine and newspaper covers such as The Parklander Magazine and both the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald. His work has been seen in the far corners of the Earth including India, and England through Indian Life and Style Magazine for his human rights causes. Gagnon’s work has been accepted in over 100 well known museums, institutions, and governments worldwide. The permanent addresses of this artwork is housed in such places as The Smithsonian Institution, The Vatican, The National Museum of Photography at the Royal Library of Denmark, Kensington Palace, Palacio de la Zarzuela through King Juan Carlos of Spain, King Harald V of Norway, 4 USA Presidential Libraries and his works have made it into the Private Collections of William Clay Ford, Steve Forbes, Jack Welch, Donald Trump and others. Gagnon has received the support of celebrities such as Michael J. Fox, Bryant Gumbel, Dennis Cole and well known Political and Business leaders.

Gagnon also represents Model Amy Vitale who was featured in the April edition of Playboy. Amy is a niece of former Playboy centerfold Karen Velez. Amy Vitale has recently appeared in Gagnon’s piece Defending Wildlife which she depicts the legendary character Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. Amy has also appeared in a Healthcare collage, a Breast Cancer collage, and a piece entitled Human Trafficking. Amy is also in the wrestling profession as part of the act. Gagnon has begun marketing Amy to print agencies in New York.

Gagnon has two works of art which presently is receiving much publicity. They are his Tennis Hall of Fame collage and The Challenger Space Shuttle collage. The Tennis Hall of Fame collage is a composition of images taken at the US Open from 1986 to 1996. The Challenger Space Shuttle collage depicts the historical record of the Challenger Space Mission and the events that lead up to the tragic disaster. The piece will be going to the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley CA because President Reagan postponed the State of the Union Address which was a first in United States History. Gagnon, who has also been in the Banking industry for some 28 years, personally was introduced to Christa McAuliffe by a former supervisor at Indian Head National Bank in New Hampshire.

Gagnon has produced more than 144 collages. The idea says Gagnon, “comes from the piece THE DISCOVERY OF CHRISTOPHER COLULMBUS painted and created by Salvador Dali.” His work ranges from works in beauty, pin up, fantasy type images, pieces on tourism such as places, historical pieces, and some erotic pieces.

Marc Gagnon is currently working with two models and is looking to work with four others. Gagnon’s work has frequented the news and the models that appear in his collages are able to use the experience to further their careers. Gagnon goes one step beyond this by marketing the models to top agencies located in New York and LA. Gagnon has worked with Ford, Elite, Zoli, Wilhelmina, CED (now CESD), ICM and William Morris in the past 25 years in placing models and talent.
