Lisa Blue Swimwear rocked the catwalk at this season’s Mercedes Benz Swimwear Fashion Week in Miami.  With vibrant colors and patterns, the aquatic-inspired suits were a big hit.  Having been led by the passion and ingenuity of designer Lisa Burke, this show took the crowd on a deep sea adventure through the crystal waves of Australia to the cool blue tides of Miami.  Incorporating both Galactic themes and tribal patterns in her most recent runway presentation, Lisa Blue definitely knows how to inspire creativity.  Sitting down with her, she gave us an in-depth detailing of some of the motifs that made up her latest collection.  She tells us, “There were a couple of themes in the show: The dazzling, intriguing Galactic Themes, which also included a stunning print of blues, turquoise, and purples inspired by a channeled painting of an extraterrestrial angel by whale activist and visionary artist Jean Luc Bozzoli. The Aboriginal tribal theme offered an array of colors ranging from the glamorous gold foiled version to a very feminine silk like mix of purples and warm colors.”  Making her dreams come true through her trendy swimsuits and cover-ups, she is not only fulfilling her own life passions, but she is doing so much more…

We all try to do our part in bettering the world around us and helping to take care of our planet, but designer Lisa Burke takes this to another level using her swimwear line as a platform to help in the preservation of ocean life.  In particularly, she is encompassed by the mighty whale and its contributions to our planet with its beauty alone.    In turn, her esteemed swim line donates 25% of all profits to marine conservation.  Lisa Burke tells us, “As well as donating money, I am able to use fashion as the perfect medium to spread the message to the world to take care of the gentle giants of the ocean whose future is seriously at stake.” Having a close connection to the Australian Whale Conservation Society, she is able to keep up with the latest happenings and educate herself more each day in order to keep up with her efforts as a whale activist.
