Jennifer Grijalva
Jenn was born in Walnut Creek, California on March 30, 1984. She was raised in Martinez, California where at the age of 5 the art of dance was already drawing her in. She began as a cheerleader for Martinez Youth Football at the age of 5 and cheered for the 8 years that followed. After winning a number of plaques, she became a high school cheerleader. In her senior year, she auditioned for the Oakland Raiderettes. After her graduation, the beginning of her dancing career and a four year journey with the Raiders had begun. In her third year as a Raiderette she earned a captain position for her line and won the Dancer of the Year award. And by her fourth year she was on the cover of the Oakland Raiderette swimsuit calendar. At this point in her career she decided to put her extraordinary talent to good use by traveling to Japan and Korea to perform for the U.S. troops. Jenn has now branched out and is dancing with a professional dance team called La Femme Panache based out of San Francisco. This team is directed and choreographed by Ronnie Reddick. They perform in locations such as Las Vegas, the Bahamas, New York, etc. The team's diversity varies from hip-hop, cabaret, jazz, burlesque, Latin dance, theatre, and commercial. Outside of La Femme, Jenn works closely with three friends in a production performance group called JCAT (Jenn, Cassandra, Angela, and Tina). They work together for promotional events and live performances. After a lifetime of dancing and cheerleading, Jenn has decided to catapult her career in the direction of The Real World on MTV. Perhaps, being a tool in figuring out who she is and where she is and wants to go. Regardless, she will always remain true to herself doing what she does best…dance. She was kind enough to stop by and answer 7 questions: What do you like best about Miami? The people! The women are ethnic and naturally beautiful. Not like Hollywood, where everyone’s trying to look a certain way and just trying too hard to look good. There is just a natural beauty about the women in Miami! As for the Men! WOW! Being a Latin woman I thoroughly enjoy the view of the men in Miami. The men in Miami are very well dressed, well mannered and very handsome with nice dance moves! What do you like least about Miami? Well there aren’t too many bad things to say about Miami besides it’s too far from where I live... in California! Favorite movie? Blow with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruise! Kingdom with Jamie Foxx! American Gangster with Denzel Washington! Unfaithful with Diane Lane! Man on Fire Denzel and Marc Anthony! Favorite book? The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler. Favorite Musician? It would be absurd to narrow it down to just one! I love all music! A couple favorites, Bob Sinclair, Kylie Minougue, Fly Leaf....! I enjoy house, hip hop, Latin, rock, alternative you name it I probably have a cd in its category... Favorite place? Being at Home. What would like to tell all of your Miami fans? Thank you for all of your support! I really appreciate my fan base in Miami and would definitely rank you all in the hottest group of people I have ever had the privilege of partying with!
