GEM aka Green Eyed

Originally from Minneapolis,
MN, Green Eyed Mammi aka GEM was raised between Long Island, NY and Minneapolis, MN. Two very different places, cultures,
and people, GEM got the best of both worlds. “My mother is German and my father is Black and Rican. Although
I didn't grow up in a Spanish speaking home, I was around the New York Latin community that made me an official Nuyorican.
LOL.”
Exotic beauty, brains, and a cunning sense of humor, GEM is taking the modeling world by storm, but it has not all been easy. Being of Puerto Rican, African American, and German decent, and not necessarily looking completely like one of the three, GEM has had to change the outlook of what she is supposed to be. “Since I am mixed it makes my job a little harder. One company/person wants me to be more of one thing then the other. Meanwhile, another company/person wants me to totally be something else. I just aspire to greatness and try to be the best at everything!”
“I have wanted to be a model since I was five years old. I like to express myself through pretty pictures. What girl doesn’t like to be pretty? I also want to put a different out look of what a model is supposed to be. My goal in this industry is to show that you do not have to settle for what ‘they’ say you need to be.”
